Yoga Tree Taupo was initially established by Anandi Greene on March 9th, 2011. Over the years, we have been fortunate to have dedicated teachers and loyal students who have contributed to our incredible journey.

In early 2019, Yoga Tree Taupo underwent a transition when it was purchased by Heather Sharplin, one of the studio’s teachers. Since then, Heather has infused her unique style into the space, adding vibrant colors and numerous plants. She has also expanded the studio by constructing an additional office, enabling the old office to become a treatment room or office space available for rent.

In 2022, Heather achieved her certification as an Iyengar Yoga teacher, demonstrating her commitment to excellence and deepening her understanding of the practice. In 2023, Mela also obtained her Iyengar Certification, further enhancing the expertise within our teaching team. All the teachers at Yoga Tree Taupo engage in ongoing training under the guidance of Suzie Carson from Four Winds Yoga, a senior Iyengar Yoga teacher. Currently, Heather is working towards attaining her level 2 Iyengar Certification.

At Yoga Tree Taupo, we are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction and continuously evolving to meet the needs of our students. We are grateful for the support and contribution of our teachers and students, who have helped shape Yoga Tree Taupo into the vibrant and welcoming space it is today.
